I went to Raymond Michael's Salon in Medford, WI and had it cut by my favorite stylist, Sarah. I've been eyeing up short styles for weeks now, and couldn't wait to get it chopped! I think it has something to do with getting older, busier, having a son to take care of, that I just needed one less thing to worry about. I'm hoping this is it!
If you take a look at my picture on my "Who is Tanya Rae?" page, you'll understand why blow drying used to take me 20 minutes! I'll admit, it wasn't as long as it was in that picture this morning. It was about shoulder length. But it was down to my mid-back at the beginning of summer.
Having short hair is very freeing! My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
Your hair cut is gorgeous! I am #teamlonghairdontcare I cut my hair short, like you, in 2010 when going through a horrific sizzling hot, pregnant summer. I loved the low maintenance and the look. But I missed throwing my hair up on days I didn't feel like messing with it. And with my texture, I had to flat iron it or gel it every day, or it would be a mini afro! Lol. Anyway, your do looks cute on you!

ReplyDeleteI realized that even when I got my hair cut to shoulder length earlier this summer, it ended up in a pony tail every day. I thought, this way I couldn't put it up. I did tell my stylist that I wanted something that I wouldn't have to put much effort into though. I have a natural wave to my hair so the majority of the time I'll probably just put product in it and scrunch it up. I had her straighten it for me yesterday just so I could see what it would look like. I still haven't washed it since then...I'm affraid to do it myself! Ha, ha!
